We will continue our work from March and finish planting and mulching a stretch of East Bay shoreline.  As we work we should see the last of the over wintering waterbirds as they disappear to breeding areas in the north and hear the newly arrived passerine birds coming back from the south starting to develop territories and building nests.  The habitat we are restoring should help them both.  On this workday we plan to finish mulching and planting native shrubs in the area where we have been working to remove invasive over the last several months.

No experience necessary. Children 10 and under must have adult supervision.

From Interstate 5 take the Port of Olympia exit and stay on Plum/East Bay Drive past the southern end of the Bay then look for the sign and volunteers along the shoreline about 1/4 mile from the southern end of the Bay. From downtown Olympia, take East Bay Drive north and look for the sign and volunteers along the shoreline about 1/4 mile from the southern end of the Bay.
