Do you know Mr. Floatie? He’s another brown mascot with a mission to save the Sound. —Scott in Victoria, BC

Well, Scott, I'm glad you asked. Mr. Floatie is actually a very dear friend of mine. We've spent many wonderful nights sitting on the banks of Juan de Fuca Strait, watching the stars and imagining a day when the Sound will be clean and healthy again. Mr. Floatie gets in a poopy mood some of the time, so he relies on me to cheer him up. When I tell him about all the good people of Puget Sound who have taken the MudUp pledge and gotten involved in MudUp activities, he definitely feels a lot better about the future. I tell him how MudUp is raising awareness all around the Sound, and his eyes light up, and he tells me that he's hopeful that the Sound will one day be restored to its former glory.

(One more thing I've gotta add here: personally, I think I'm a whole lot better-looking than Mr. Floatie. My creator made the Mariner Moose, after all. But don't tell Mr. Floatie I said that, okay?)
