65 volunteers planted 400 native trees and shrubs on Saturday. This was the first planting ever done on the two mile long man-made Island. Two Cub Scout troops and a Girl Scout troop brought their parents along for a day of community giving that will help them receive their environmental badges. People For Puget Sound Snohomish Sound Stewards helped lead the volunteers to properly install the plants.
