Kids around the Sound!
The Port Townsend Marine Science Center (PTMSC) is located within Fort Worden State Park in the City of Port Townsend, Washington. The center is on Admiralty Inlet, where the Strait of Juan De Fuca meets Puget Sound. The PTMSC houses a Natural History Exhibit and a Marine Science Exhibit, and they offer a wide variety of educational services for students and citizens including: classes for K-12 students, teacher workshops, public programs, citizen science programs, summer camps and daily interpretive programs. PTMSC serves all ages, but they put a special emphasis on serving youth. The PTMSC serves an important purpose in encouraging understanding of and participation in local, national, and international decisions impacting the marine and shoreline environment.
