Sweet Pea gets MUDDY!

I'm Sweet Pea, a 5 year old Black Lab (though I look more like a chocolate lab in the photo!). My parents are Susan Berta & Howard Garrett of Orca Network, we live on Whidbey Island & like to watch out for the whales.
Sweet Pea gets down & dirty!
I took my humans for a walk the other day through the forest, & they pointed out a nice water hole where I could get a drink. I of course realized right away that this was TOO GOOD of a water hole to use as just a water dish! I jumped in, laid down, rolled around & around until the hole was pure mud of the perfect thick consistency to best cover my entire body & face with - it felt GREAT!
So I'm writing to encourage other dogs out there in Puget Sound to GET MUDDY!! But don't just roll around & enjoy the mud, do your part to keep Puget Sound clean for future generations of puppies.
Make sure your humans carry poop bags to scoop up your droppings while you're out walking in the forest or on the beach. Don't let your humans use chemical or toxic shampoos or flea products on you - flea combs, baths, a swim in the ocean, or natural products work just as well (I like garlic & brewer's yeast tablets!). Or you can take a nice mud bath to make your coat shine & feel good!
I've attached a photo my humans took after we got home from our walk - most of the mud had worn off by then, but I still look pretty good, huh?! Maybe I can be an assistant to the mud monster someday!
So all you pups out there, follow my lead & go get muddy!
